FaceTime does not record the outside sound

If you don't need to record both voice, you can just do video call on FaceTime and use OS recording.

Here's how to make it.

Step 1

Open "Settings" on your iOS device and tap on "Control Center."

Step 2

Select "Customize Controls" and locate "Screen Recording" under the "More Controls" section. Tap the green plus (+) icon next to it to add it to your Control Center.

Step 3

Once added, swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen (on iPhone X or later) or swipe up from the bottom of the screen (on older iPhones and iPads) to access the Control Center.

Step 4: Tap the "Record" button, which looks like a filled-in circle surrounded by a thick outline. You might need to press and hold the record button and select "Microphone Audio" to record audio from both sides of the call.

Step 5: Initiate your FaceTime call and start recording by tapping the red status bar at the top of your screen and selecting "Start Recording."

Step 6: To stop recording, tap the red status bar again and choose "Stop."
